School Development Plan
Transitional Strategic Action Plan: County Upper School 2021-22
Our Transitional Action Plan outlines the actions to be put in place following a Section 8 Monitoring Inspection (June 2021) and marks a transitional period with a new Leadership Team in place from September 2021. Actions will be guided by this plan whilst stakeholders will be invited to contribute to the strategic direction to be mapped in a three-year SIP to be implemented September 2022.
Running alongside this strategic action plan is an operational action plan that incorporates actions from both this plan and emerging actions that need immediate address.
This plan is structured around the following strategic priorities:
Key priority 1: develop an evidence baseline -introduction of systems that allow a clear evidence baseline to inform development of policy and actions
- Behaviour for learning evidence baseline and immediate related actions
- Progress and attainment evidence baseline
- Pastoral Priorities evidence baseline -to inform responses in both curriculum and student support
Key Priority 2: Recovery Curriculum -a curriculum by design to support all groups of students and to ensure that all students are empowered with their next steps in learning and career planning
- Curriculum Intent
- Closing the Gap for the most vulnerable (LPA, PP, SEND)
- A cohesive Careers Curriculum
Key Priority 3: Staff Cohesion -to ensure a shared direction in the development needed for a successful transition
- Consultation in direction setting and policy writing
- Coaching Culture established through CPD programme
- Empowerment of teams through the development of Middle Leadership systems
Overarching Priority: Safeguarding
Safeguarding continues to remain as an overarching priority, particularly to build on the progress in effectiveness established in the summer term 2021 at a time of significant change in personnel.
