In Music at KS3, students perform, listen to, review and evaluate music. They learn to create and compose music on their own and with others, have the opportunity to learn instrumental skills, develop skills in music technology and have the opportunity to progress to the next level of musical excellence. They understand and explore how music is created, produced and communicated, including through the elements of music: pitch, duration, dynamics, tempo, timbre, texture, structure and appropriate musical notations.
KS4 Music will provide a contemporary, accessible and creative education in Music with an integrated approach to the three main elements – performing, composing
Music at A Level is focussed on developing a deep and broad understanding of music, through the study of set works, advanced harmony, composition techniques and performance.
